Priority Actions for This Week:
Anti-Oppression Guide: We’re thrilled to launch the PAGE Anti-Oppression Guide, a unique resource designed for the PAGE member abroad. Resistance/social justice work can so often replicate systems of oppression -- but we're trying to change that. This guide is an introduction for PAGE members and chapters who want to incorporate an anti-oppression approach in their work. It includes definitions, principles of anti-oppression, hands-on activities, tips for meetings, and a reading list. You can use it as an individual, chapter leader, or human being. If you have feedback, resources to add or questions, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For Chocolate and Climate: Climate change will have devastating impacts on farmers in West Africa, such as cocoa farmers in Côte d'Ivoire. PAGE-Abidjan is pressuring Hershey’s to publicly denounce President Donald Trump’s harmful stance on the environment as he considers climate change regulation rollbacks, budget cuts to environmental programs, and withdrawal from the Paris Agreement. Join PAGE-Abidjan to tweet at and write to Hershey on May 25th. RSVP here!
Stand Up With Standing Rock International Tour: Standing Rock activists are touring Europe to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline and other fossil fuel initiatives. Read more about their tour and mission and follow them on Facebook for more details about an event near you.
